You might have read in our lastest newsletter about this topic, here Lucy Booth, Director at GP Planning Ltd, gives you the detail. The government has recently launched a new set of planning guidance to accompany the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), called the National Planning Policy Guidance (NPPG). This new guidance supercedes a whole raft of individual guidance documents and government circulars, and is available online as an ‘interactive’ document which will be amended and updated on a regular basis as planning issues evolve. The NPPF and NPPG are material considerations in the decision making process for planning applications and GP Planning Ltd will ensure that your development is presented in the most positive light following this new planning policy guidance. The guidance brings in a number of changes, one of which is the way local planning authorities will be considering the use of ‘pre-commencement’ conditions on planning permissions, with an emphasis on ensuring detailed issues are covered at the planning application stage. Another important consideration in determining the scope of any planning application. Should you require clarification on how this might affect your planning application do contact our planning team who will be only to happy to assist you.
