You may be aware of the amendment to the Environmental Permitting Regulations earlier this year that requires measurement and reporting requirements for materials facilities that accept a minimum of 1,000 tonnes of mixed waste material (glass, paper, metal plastic) per year. As a result you will need to have procedures and the equipment in place to enable you to measure and record the information required by the regulations by this date and report to the Environment Agency quarterly. The Environment Agency propose to charge in the region of £2,240 for the additional inspections (2 per year).
