Welcome to our new look website and we kick off with news of some recent planning successes December has been a very successful month. Two waste related projects in Northamptonshire have been granted planning permission; the re-restoration of Pitsford Pond utilising inert waste alongside inert waste recycling and changes to approved structures to allow an Energy from Waste facility in Corby. In Somerset, the County Council has granted planning permission for an Anaerobic Digestion Facility at Evercreech Junction for Tamar Energy. The facility will generate 3MW of electricity per annum – enough to power 6000 homes. In Lincolnshire, the Planning Inspector upheld our appeal on behalf of Bowmans WtoR for an extension of waste types to be recycled at its facility near Skegness. Earlier this year, the Planning Inspector upheld our appeal on behalf of Bakers Waste for the use of an industrial building in Leicestershire as a Waste Transfer Station and Materials Recycling Facility, with an award of partial costs.
